Carson Garrett is a texas ranger. His newest job assignment is locating the wife of a Columbian drug lord, Jamie, and putting her in protective custody. But the Columbian drug lord husband has put a hit on his wife and the only person who knows where she is hiding is her twin sister, Amy Summers.
Carson has to find Amy and convince her to trust him and lead him to Jamie and her four-year-old kid, and bring the three of them back to Texas. But Carson immediately feels a strong attraction toward Amy, which starts to cloud his judgement as he tries to protect her, no matter what the cost. And with a hitman on their back, those costs are extremely high.
Carson was a likeable character. He’s strong and intelligent, and stubborn, but in a good way. I liked Amy as well. She was equally strong, willing to do whatever it takes to protect her sister, and overall, a good person.
The plot was great. I like romance stories that have more plot or more going on than just the romance, and that was definitely the case here. An excellent read!
