More Than I Wanted is a romantic read ideal for the holidays. Even if it doesn’t have a holiday theme, it did make me feel that special holiday magic you only feel around Christmas. The story starts out with single Kate who’s being coupled to Austin by her best friend. At first, Austin doesn’t seem all that interested, although Kate is more than a little impressed by the soldier. But Austin’s last relationship ended badly and he wants to take things slowly. Kate would be okay with that, if she didn’t feel a burning desire for him…
I liked how the author wrote the character of Kate and Austin. Both were described quite well, and Kate seemed like a real person. Her desires also felt very real, as did her love for Austin. Austin was your typical alpha hero but a touch more genuine and honest than most Alpha heroes I’ve read about.
I thought things went a bit fast at first, and I’m more of a fan of slowly building relationships, so that’s why it’s only an 8 (not that an 8 still isn’t a great rating, just thought I’d mention why) but apart from that, I really enjoyed this book.
